Slovenia
SVNSlovenia is a small Alpine EU/Schengen member with very high English proficiency, universal healthcare, and one of the highest safety rankings in Europe. The country lacks a dedicated digital-nomad or golden-visa programme — long-stay residency is via skilled employment, EU Blue Card, or family reunification. Naturalisation takes 10 years for ordinary applicants (4 years for descendants of Slovenian emigrants and 1 year for spouses with 5 years' continuous Slovenian residence). Slovenia permits dual citizenship for naturalisation applicants from 2024 onwards.
