Methodology

What We Verify

Every program listed on The Citizenship Desk is sourced from official government publications, gazette notices, and regulatory authority websites. Each program page includes a direct link to the official source and a “last verified” date indicating when our team last confirmed the accuracy of the information.

We verify: eligibility requirements, minimum investment or income thresholds, processing timelines, application fees, physical presence requirements, and path-to-citizenship timelines. Where official sources provide ranges, we report ranges rather than single figures.

What We Don't Do

  • We do not sell visas, residency permits, or citizenship.
  • We do not accept referral commissions from immigration agents, law firms, or service providers.
  • We do not accept payment for placement or ranking of any program.
  • We do not make recommendations — we present facts and let users make informed decisions.
  • We do not provide legal, immigration, or tax advice.

Update Cadence

Immigration programs change frequently. Governments adjust fees, modify eligibility criteria, suspend programs, or introduce new ones. We aim to review each program page at least quarterly and update it whenever a material change is identified.

The “last verified” badge on each page indicates when the information was last checked against official sources. If a verification date is more than six months old, we flag the page for priority review.

Suspended & Discontinued Programs

When a program is suspended or discontinued, we keep it in our database with its status clearly marked. We do not remove historical programs because users may still be in the process of applying or may need to understand a program's history for planning purposes.

Reporting Inaccuracies

If you identify an inaccuracy on any page, we want to know. Data integrity is our core promise. You can report issues through our contact channels, and we will investigate and correct verified errors within 48 hours.

Red Flags & Restriction Notes

We include nationality restrictions, program suspensions, enhanced due diligence requirements, and other red flags on relevant program pages. These notes exist to give users a complete picture. Omitting restrictions would compromise the reference value of this site.

Our Stance on Advice

The Citizenship Desk is a factual reference resource, not an advisory service. Immigration and tax law are complex, jurisdiction- specific, and have serious consequences when handled incorrectly. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified immigration lawyer and tax professional before acting on any information found here.
