American Hospital Tirana (Albanian: Spitali Amerikan Tirana) is Albania's foremost private tertiary-care hospital, established in 2007 and located in the capital Tirana. The hospital operates across multiple specialist departments including cardiology, cardiac surgery, oncology, orthopaedics, internal medicine, and diagnostic imaging, and is widely regarded as the highest-standard private medical facility in the country. It serves both the resident Albanian population and the growing expatriate and diaspora community, accepting major international health insurance plans with direct billing arrangements through Cigna Global, Allianz Care, and Bupa Global. Staff communicate in Albanian, English, and Italian, reflecting the country's strong historical ties with Italy.
