Kuwait
KWTKuwait is a high-income Gulf state with no personal income tax. The population is ~70% non-citizen, primarily expatriate workers from South Asia and Egypt. Residency is almost exclusively via employer-sponsored work visas (kafala system); there is no investor-visa or property-residency programme. Naturalisation for non-Arabs is essentially unavailable. Family reunification visas for spouses and children of Kuwaiti citizens or sponsored workers are the main alternative. The kafala system has been incrementally reformed but remains the primary structure.
