Raffles Hospital

Raffles Hospital is Singapore's flagship private tertiary-care hospital, opened in 2001 as the anchor facility of the Raffles Medical Group and situated in the central district of Singapore. It became JCI-accredited in 2004 and has maintained that status through successive reassessments, operating across more than 35 clinical specialties on a single integrated campus. The hospital is particularly recognised for cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics, neurology, and fertility and reproductive medicine, and its Raffles Cancer Centre is one of the most comprehensive private oncology units in Southeast Asia. An International Patient Services division provides end-to-end support for overseas patients, including pre-arrival treatment planning, multilingual case coordinators, insurance liaison, and post-discharge telemedicine follow-up. Raffles Hospital holds direct-billing agreements with most of the major international health insurers active in the Asia-Pacific region. Procedure costs are broadly in line with other premium Singapore private hospitals—typically 30–50 percent below equivalent procedures in the United Kingdom or Australia—while benefiting from Singapore's rigorous regulatory environment and world-class surgical infrastructure. The hospital maintains a 24-hour Accident and Emergency department and a co-located pharmacy, radiology suite, and specialist outpatient clinic building, allowing patients to complete diagnostic workups and specialist consultations on the same visit. Its central location near Bugis MRT station makes it easily accessible from Changi Airport and most major hotels.
