Hôpital Foch

Hôpital Foch is a private not-for-profit hospital (ESPIC — Établissement de Santé Privé d'Intérêt Collectif) located in Suresnes, immediately west of Paris on the banks of the Seine. Founded in 1929, it operates under the French public tariff system, meaning insured patients are billed at national healthcare rates identical to those charged by public hospitals. The institution is internationally recognised for its thoracic medicine and lung-transplant programme, which consistently ranks among the highest-volume centres in Europe; it has performed over 2,000 lung transplants since the programme's inception. Beyond transplantation, Foch maintains strong clinical departments in urology — including robotic-assisted prostatectomy and bladder surgery — neurosurgery, medical and surgical oncology, and obstetrics. The hospital holds HAS (Haute Autorité de Santé) certification, the standard French national quality-assurance credential applied to all hospitals operating on French soil. Foch does not hold JCI accreditation.
