MLI (Multilateral Instrument)

The OECD/G20 Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent BEPS, opened for signature in June 2017. It amends over 1,800 bilateral tax treaties at once, inserting anti-abuse tools such as the Principal Purpose Test (PPT) and optional Limitation on Benefits (LOB) clauses to block treaty shopping.
