Afghanistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs operates under the Taliban administration, and since the 2021 takeover many countries have closed their Kabul embassies or handle Afghan affairs remotely from Islamabad, Doha, or other regional posts. Travellers should not assume normal consular services are available in-country.
