TTOTrinidad and Tobago is a twin-island republic at the southern tip of the Caribbean, just off Venezuela's northeast coast. The most industrialised economy in the Caribbean, it is a major exporter of oil, natural gas, and petrochemicals, giving citizens a higher income level than most Caribbean neighbours. Port of Spain serves as a regional financial hub.
The passport grants visa-free or on-arrival access to around 124 destinations including the UK and the Schengen zone. Naturalisation requires eight years of lawful residence. Dual citizenship is permitted. Tobago offers quieter, resort-style living while Trinidad hosts the world-famous Carnival and a vibrant multicultural society of African, Indian, Chinese, and European heritage.
