Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan is a mountainous Central Asian republic bordered by Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, with the Tian Shan range covering over 90 percent of its territory. Bishkek is an affordable, walkable capital with a growing expat and digital-nomad scene supported by fast city-centre internet and low rents. Citizens of around 60 nationalities enter visa-free for 30–60 days, and an e-Visa covers most others. Russian is widely spoken alongside Kyrgyz, smoothing daily life for many foreign residents. The residence-based tax system levies a flat 10 percent on income; naturalisation requires five years of continuous legal residence. Dual citizenship is not recognised. Cost of living is low, with Bishkek ranked among the cheapest capitals in Asia.
