Comoros
COMComoros is a small volcanic archipelago in the Indian Ocean, situated between northeastern Mozambique and northwestern Madagascar. The Union of Comoros comprises three main islands — Grande Comore, Anjouan, and Mohéli — with the island of Mayotte administered by France. The country is one of the world's smallest and poorest economies, heavily reliant on remittances, vanilla exports, and ylang-ylang production. Comoros has operated a long-running economic citizenship programme since 2008, primarily used by stateless populations and later expanded as a revenue tool, though its international standing is limited. Taxation is territorial, meaning foreign-sourced income is not taxed. The Comorian passport offers limited travel access, with visa-free entry to roughly 45 destinations.
