🇹🇷 Pet Import to Turkey
Turkey requires dogs and cats to have an ISO-compliant microchip, a rabies vaccination valid for at least 30 days before entry, and a veterinary health certificate issued shortly before travel. No routine quarantine is imposed on compliant pets, and a rabies antibody titer test is generally only required for animals arriving from countries without recognized rabies control or without valid vaccination history. Because Turkey straddles EU-aligned and non-EU practice, requirements can differ slightly by land border versus airport, and the most common failure point is an expired or improperly dated rabies certificate at the point of entry.
