🇳🇱 Pet Import to Netherlands
The Netherlands applies EU Pet Travel Regulation (EU) No 576/2013 through the NVWA (Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority). EU-origin pets need an EU Pet Passport, ISO microchip, and rabies vaccination at least 21 days old, with no quarantine. Non-EU pets from unlisted countries require a FAVN rabies titer test showing at least 0.5 IU/ml, taken 30 days after vaccination, followed by a 3-month wait, plus a government-endorsed health certificate. Puppies and kittens under the minimum vaccination age are commonly refused entry, which is the most frequent failure point at Schiphol.
