JCI Accreditation

general

JCI accreditation refers to certification granted by Joint Commission International, the international arm of the US-based Joint Commission, to healthcare organisations that meet rigorous quality and patient safety standards. In the context of medical tourism and international relocation, JCI accreditation is a key indicator that a hospital or clinic meets globally recognised standards comparable to top Western institutions. Many expatriates and citizenship-by-investment applicants use JCI accreditation as a benchmark when evaluating healthcare infrastructure in potential destination countries. As of 2024, JCI has accredited over 1,000 organisations in more than 70 countries.
